Aims and Objectives

Montfort Educational Development Society, a voluntary charitable organisation guided by the spirituality of St. Montfort, aims to promote Tribal culture, science, social and civil activities.

The main objectives are to diffuse knowledge through formal and non-formal education and to work towards human welfare and development and to undertake community, village development programmes aimed at the integrated development of the community and villages. To foster and promote cultural and linguistic activities and to encourage skills, creative and aesthetic arts and crafts among the people of North-East. To develop leadership qualities and spirit of voluntary service, among the students and youth, particularly to persons with disability, of North-East India.

To perform works of charity to individuals, school drop outs, marginalised persons, communities, and villages with a view of promoting human dignity, self-sufficiency and economic growth. To administer and run institutions which shall offer appropriate facility, training and education to all who desire, of their own choice to dedicate themselves to the service of God, country and fellow human beings.
